Kansas Scholastic Press Association Regional Contest Results

Congratulations to the Yearbook Staff on a great effort at the KSPA Regional contest.  The results are:  First place - Alex Hermesch - Newspaper Sports Writing, Erin Hermesch and Veronica Rottinghaus (team) - Theme Development/Graphics, Gabby Deters - Feature Writing, Mallory Stewart - Advertising. Second place - Jessica Hermesch - Yearbook Layout, Kristi Clark - Cutline Writing. Third place - Makenna Imholte - Cutline Writing, Erin Hermesch - Editing, Gabby Deters - Academics Photography. Honorable Mention - Holly Kuckelman - Headline Writing, Kevin Burdiek - Newspaper Sports Writing, Blake Niehues - Editorial Cartoon.  All of these students qualified their event for State Competition in Lawrence in May.  Good job to these students and the rest of the staff on great entries at the competition.
