High School Students Compete in Scince Olympiad

On Wednesday, January 13, 2009, the high school Science Olympiad Team traveled to Salina for regional competitions. They placed 3rd out of 15 teams. Congratulations! They will go to State competition the first weekend of April. The coaches of the team were Terry Stueve, and Randy and Susan Stallbaumer.

Individual placings were: 1st- Mission Possible (Greg Stallbaumber & Alex Hermesch); 1st- Write it Do it (Chelsey McGhee & Gabby Deters)

2nd- Experimental Design (Zach Wassenburg, Andy Lohmann & Greg Stallbaumer); 2nd- Physics Lab (Jill Swart & Amanda Boeding)

3rd- Chemistry Lab (Zach Wassenburg & Andy Lohmann); 3rd- Elevated Bridge (Greg Stallbaumer & Alex Hermesch); 3rd- Trajectory (Andrea Stallbaumer &Jill Swart); 3rd- Egg-o-Naut (Chelsey McGhee & Michaela Altenhofen).

4th- Dynamic Planet (Alex Hermesch & Andrea Stallbaumer); It's About Time (Cody Honeyman & Michaela Altenhofen); Mousetrap Vehicle (Zach Wassenberg & Andy Lohmann)
